On the 60th anniversary of the constitution of the UJC, young Cubans in the Republic of the Gambia honor this date by saving lives.
With their modest efforts and high revolutionary consciousness they have reached the most remote corners of this African nation, bringing health, kindness and friendship to a needy and grateful people.
In our health professionals we find young doctors specialized in different profiles of medical sciences, technologists, nurses who provide an excellent service covering a large part of the health needs, which has allowed raising health rates.
Young too, our professors who have put their knowledge and pedagogical expertise at the service of Gambian students at the Banjul Medical University.
In the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, they stepped forward and were there on the red line, assisting with care and professionalism for those who suffered from this painful disease.
Our new pines are followers and achievers of great tasks, paraphrasing the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, they put their hearts in the work of each day, thinking of the Homeland, with this youth at the forefront we will always come out victorious.
“We believe in young people, we believe in young people. And I repeat it because believing in young people is an attitude, believing in young people means a thought,» Fidel said.
Martí already said it, young Cubans will be eternal defenders of truth and justice (…) It is for young people to succeed.»
In the Gambia, young people are triumphing, they have a lot to do, but they are going with everything for a healthy Africa.
Long live young Cubans!
Long live the 60th anniversary of the UJC!
