Statement of the Cuban Medical Brigade in The Gambia on January 1st
Sixty-four long years defending our conquests, resisting the cruel and ruthless blockade imposed by our neighbors to the north, putting our limitless creativity and our fertile intellect to overcome each crisis and each difficult period.
Here we are with our feet in the stirrup, showing off our altruistic training, our human values and solidarity, sharing with the needy people of the world the little we have and not the things we have left over, providing health, love and a lot of dedication, curing the body and soul.
Yes, it is true that we live in difficult times, but we also collect gratitude and the sweet satisfaction of doing good, of saving many lives with professionalism and plenty of affection.
On this new anniversary of the triumph of the Revolution, we demonstrate our commitment to the homeland and the Commander in Chief, Fidel Castro, to continue hoisting the flags of internationalism and to continue providing health, humanity, and altruism.
The Cuban Medical Brigade (BMC) in The Gambia carries out beautiful and valuable health work, our debt and gratitude to Africa is eternal, we will always be by the side of our African brothers and sisters, and surely together we will achieve a better world for all.
Dear Commander in Chief, you live forever among us, in every humanitarian action, in every life saved, in every smiley face brought back to life and in every grateful heart.
For all this and much more we are faithful to your legacy Fidel. Thank you, we are eternally proud to be Cuban and to have been trained under your guidance and your brilliant ideas. You live forever in the hearts of all your compatriots, and of all the worthy and brave of this world.
From African lands our congratulations for this new January 1st of victories to all the Cuban people, to Army General Raúl Castro, and to our president, Miguel Díaz-Canel.
