Not a few are the doubts of analysts about the purposes and results of the summit between the US and the African heads of state that will be held from December 13th to 15th in Washington: Will it be for a genuine collaboration or a new colonization?
Another of the unknowns of the same experts is whether this conclave will favor peace and unity in Africa, or will drag it to become involved in current international conflicts, dividing it at the same time, and thus the White House gain ground in the region, even against its allies in the European Union.
It is no secret that the so-called forgotten continent ceased to be so some time ago, and it is today one of the main scenarios of the bloody trade war that the US is waging against China and other emerging powers.
Nor is it unknown that African nations have immense natural resources that the West has always plundered, and Washington wants to get hold of them in the midst of the turbulent panorama that the world is experiencing today.
It is also well known that the US is immersed in a wild race to the bottom aimed at buying governments, political parties and the media in order to achieve its objective.
It is not for nothing that the promises of “cooperation” rain down from the White House in the days leading up to the upcoming summit, while large sums of money are offered by various organizations, some of them closely linked to the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).
The so-called black continent is one of the most affected by the ravages caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, the resounding rise in all prices, inflation and, in general, the current global economic crisis.
Africa is experiencing very tense financial times and needs international aid more than ever, a situation that the US seems to take advantage of and impose its dominance.
Of course, the analysts’ doubts about the use of the Washington appointment have plenty of grounds because the rulers of the White House have never truly cooperated with the impoverished African peoples, and their «aid» has been conditioned on political positions at their disposal.
Of course, it is not wrong to think that a new recolonization is underway in Africa, which would be disastrous for the future of the region.
