First-level delegations headed by ministers and high-ranking government officials, businessmen and other foreign actors from nations such as China, Russia, Spain, France, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Venezuela, the United Arab Emirates and Laos converge on the meeting, which will last until Friday, November 18.
Together with some 400 Cuban state companies, more than 70 micro, medium and small companies (MSMEs) and three non-agricultural cooperatives will strengthen existing ties and explore business and foreign investment opportunities in all sectors of the economy.
Also participating in Fihav 2022 are representatives of nine entities from the United States as exhibitors and another large group of economic actors and personalities from that country.
In addition, delegations from some 35 foreign chambers of commerce are present at different levels (sectoral, regional, national and associations), which will lead the signing of three trade agreements such as those scheduled with Rwanda, Uganda and Russia Business.
From the perspective of the Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment of Cuba, Rodrigo Malmierca, the extensive assistance demonstrates the existing confidence in the Cuban market, despite the blockade of the United States government on the island, particularly intensified during the pandemic. of the Covid-19.
During the event, the 5th Investment Forum will be held, an opportunity for potential investors to update on the new commercial portfolio available for foreign capital.

Among the objectives of the fair is also to promote the commercial chain between sectors of the national economy and foreign investment that, above all, facilitate the diversification of markets towards the realization of value-added products that reduce dependence on external raw material.
