Havana, Oct 17 (Prensa Latina) The IV International Health Convention began this Monday in Cuba with the presence of some two thousand participants from 63 nations, who will exchange experiences in the field of science, technology and establish commercial links.
This conclave includes the XV Health for All Trade Fair and the I International Fair of Medical Tourism and Well-being.
At a press conference, the organizers explained that there will be a total of 33 events scheduled to take place, with the presence of official delegations, which includes Ministers of Public Health and Deputy Ministers, foreign organizations, personalities, companies and tour operators.
There will be visits to healthcare and scientific centers, congresses, symposiums and bilateral programs and five books will also be presented that refer, among other topics, to the role of the Pan American Health Organization, an entity that celebrates its 120th anniversary.
Although the Convention will close its doors on October 21, the experts will be able to continue participating virtually until the 30th, clarified the organizers, who specified that the venues will be the Convention Center and the Pabexpo venue, in the capital.
Regarding the XV Salud Para Todos Trade Fair, they explained that it will generate contracts, letters of intent, memorandums and agreements.
Likewise, it will promote a change in mentality, since they want to go from being importers to exporters, to seek solutions to existing problems, and that the good results can be reflected in more resources for the health system.
The trade fair -with a space in Pabexpo of 2,210 square meters- will be attended by 191 exhibitors, 130 foreign delegates from 24 countries, 28 markets and 55 foreign companies.
In the context of the I International Fair of Medical Tourism and Well-being -in which 51 companies will participate- the Health Tourism Prize will be awarded.
The national director of Science and Technological Innovation of the Ministry of Public Health, Ileana Morales, highlighted that the thought of the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, will be present at the meeting.
