With the triumph of the Cuban Revolution more than 60 years ago, a series of social, political and economic transformations began on the Caribbean island that are still continuing under the premise of a prosperous and sustainable Socialism, despite the aggressions and blockade imposed by successive White House regimes.
Currently the world is affected by one of the most terrible pandemics that have hit humanity, which has claimed thousands of lives.
However, the current government of Washington continues with its desire to overthrow our Revolution through the imposition of coercive, economic, financial and commercial measures, and persists in subverting order in our country through its embassy in Havana and from the U.S. territory.
The Cuban Medical Brigade (BMC) in the Gambia strongly rejects the interference of the administration of the new Washington tenant in the internal affairs of Cuba, which we describe as unacceptable.
Our small country has demonstrated throughout all these years the true meaning of solidarity, because without having great natural resources, humans have shared them without expecting anything in return, and an example of this is our health professionals, who have been where they have been most needed in the world.
But the neighboring enemy to the north does not cease in its effort to destroy us, and it does not forgive us that we have been able to carry out a victorious Revolution for more than six decades in front of their noses, just as they do not forgive us that the new generations have the will and the commitment to give continuity to the work begun on January 1, 1959 with our Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro at the helm.
That is why through subversive actions and discrediting campaigns they try to distort the image of Cuba and erase the achievements of our Revolution.
Today more than ever we ratify our unconditional support and our unwavering position to give continuity to the revolutionary process that we are leading together with our President Miguel Díaz-Canel, our Army General, Raul Castro, and the Communist Party of Cuba.
As our undisputed leader expressed on July 31, 2006:
«I have no doubt that our people and our Revolution will fight to the last drop of blood to defend these and other ideas and measures that are necessary to safeguard this historical process. Imperialism will never be able to crush Cuba. The battle of ideas will continue forward. Long live the Homeland! Long live the Revolution! Long live Socialism! Until Victory Always! «
