Bansang, The Gambia, June 6th. The Cuban Medical Brigade in the Gambia (CMB) posted in all regions throughout this West African nation, carries out a meritorious work, raising health indices, and improving the quality of life of the population.
This weekend, in a simple but very emotional act, the staff direction of Bansang hospital, together with its workers, recognized the meritorious results of BMC that provides its services in that region, one of the most distant and hottest in the country.
With more than 30 months of uninterrupted work, with dedication and love, these doctors are preparing for a well-deserved vacation, and their Gambian brothers say goodbye with a single see you soon.
The members of CMB thanked them for such a nice gesture, for welcoming them as a family, for making them more doctors, more professionals and better human beings.
Serving those in need, providing health and solidarity are the basic principles of the largest of the Antilles. «To be internationalists is to pay off our own debt to humanity.»
Cuba continues on its beautiful path of doing good without looking back, while its powerful neighbors to the north double down on injustices, aggressions and sanctions against the small and altruistic island of the Caribbean.
Stop blocking us, we need to continue our human task of achieving a better and fairer world for all.
