Alert Africa! An eventual new neocolonial wave is coming

By Patricio Montesinos

In its desperate race to recover lost land on a global level and as part of the geopolitical contest that it stars, the United States organizes an eventual new neocolonial wave in Africa, a region that it has always despised, but in which it has proposed to increase its influence before the omens of experts that it can become the continent of the future.

The imperial action in preparation, sold as peaceful and very attractive to businessmen and not a few politicians, seeks greater control of the oil and gas reserves of the nations of the region, however historically impoverished as a result of the looting of their vast natural resources. by its ancient metropolises, and later by the Western powers.

Oil and its derivatives have not ceased to be the main targets for the enrichment and world domination of Washington, and well-known reasons for its most recent wars of looting and aggressions against many countries.

The neo-colonial new wave is masked in the so-called US Africa Energy 2021 forum, organized by Africa Oil & Power in association with the US-Africa Committee of the African Chamber of Energy, and its purpose is to “promote alignment” between the policies of the White House and the current governments of the so-called black continent.

The summit of the event is scheduled to be held face to face in Houston, in October, with a great dinner included, and it will be preceded by a meeting next July in Washington.

Its objectives include «creating a deeper cooperation in energy policy», and repositioning the northern American country as a fundamental partner of choice for the development of that now disputed geographic area.

According to its organizers, the meeting will have as its central theme «new horizons for the US in the energy sector in Africa», and it will explore various opportunities for foreign investment and exports, including natural gas as a vital fuel for the transition, energy storage , in addition to battery minerals.

According to the same sponsors, the «initiative» comes at an important moment in Washington’s relations with African nations, which the current occupant of the White House, President Joe Biden, intends to «proactively build.»

Of course, its organizers ignore the truth that is hidden in the aforementioned forum: to continue plundering and dominating what is called to be the continent of the future, and in which the United States is waging a geopolitical battle against great and emerging powers such as China, Russia, India and Turkey, among others.

In the opinion of analysts, evidence of its neocolonial plan is the visits that high-ranking US military personnel are making to various African countries in search of a greater rapprochement with their authorities, and to increase their military presence through «cooperation agreements”.
