Havana, Apr 8 (Agencias) Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel today highlighted the solidarity that Europe is demonstrating against the ruthless and infamous US campaign to denigrate the island.
Through his Twitter account, the president also ratified the position of defense of the sovereignty and independence of the largest of the Antilles.
«We face severe difficulties without giving up, we maintain social justice,» added the head of state on the social network.
The Europa for Cuba channel on Wednesday condemned recent accusations by the United States against the island in terms of human rights, which is considered a maneuver to justify attacks such as the economic, commercial and financial blockade.
In a statement, the solidarity platform denounced the northern crusade in its attempt to suffocate the Caribbean country and highlighted Cuba’s behavior on human rights.
Despite the strict blockade, Cuba developed five vaccines against Covid-19 and is facing the pandemic in an exemplary way, showing the will to save its people and many men and women of the world, the channel stressed.
Europe for Cuba launched last Sunday the call to celebrate a new world day against the US blockade next June, after its previous call found response in more than 90 countries on March 27 and 28.
