The Cuban Medical Brigade (CMB) in The Gambia supports and sympathizes with all those countries that in one way or another will be the scene on March 27th and 28th of actions against the cruel blockade that the US maintains on Cuba.
They will be carried out in the form of caravans, public events and other activities, with the participation of numerous personalities, political organizations, solidarity organizations, and Cuban residents abroad.
In more than 40 countries, voices will be raised with various initiatives to demand the cessation of a hostile policy carried out by successive White House governments towards Cuba that continues to show solidarity despite the complex situation that humanity is currently experiencing. struck by the deadly Covid19 pandemic.
The economic, commercial and financial blockade, imposed by Washington on Cuba for more than 60 years, is the longest in the history of humanity, it is the highest expression of a cruel and inhumane policy, lacking in legality and legitimacy, and deliberately designed to cause hunger, disease and despair in the Cuban people.
Due to its declared purpose and political, legal and administrative framework on which it is based, it qualifies as an act of genocide under the 1948 Convention for the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide.
Once again, history will show that the Homeland of Fidel and Martí is not alone.
Under the slogan: «Bridges of Love» and «No to the blockade against Cuba», citizens of all continents will demand once again the President of the United States, Joe Biden, to put an end to this unilateral policy.
Our country will never renounce to its principles and its achievements, and as our President, Miguel Díaz Canel Bermúdez, has reiterated, while the blockade exists, Cuba will denounce it because there is no more cruel, absurd, illegitimate and brutal monstrosity that violates the rights of a people that decided to be sovereign and independent.
Down with the Blockade!
