Havana, March 23 (RHC) The president of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, presented his doctoral thesis that bases the Government system based on science and innovation for the sustainable development of the country.
The investigation with which the dignitary obtained the degree of Doctor of Technical Sciences on Monday, defines the link with science as one of the three essential pillars for government management.
The court described the thesis as complex, timely and transformative.
A recent article published by the president in the journal Anales de la Academia de Ciencias de Cuba includes among the bases of this mechanism the formation of human potential and local development, as well as the science-government dialogues.
The text indicates that these allowed in the last decade to address complex problems of the greatest relevance, such as Covid-19, and its subsequent extension to food sovereignty and nutrition education.
He adds that «deploying that system is a real challenge that we must face in a complex national and international context.»

He adds that «the goals that the country has proposed pose a set of highly complex challenges, which can only be assumed by mobilizing all available resources in terms of research-development capabilities, advanced knowledge, education and highly qualified human potential.
