From Europe, they announce actions in 40 countries of the world against the US blockade to Cuba

Paris, Mar 22 (Prensa Latina) The Europa for Cuba channel announced activities in some 40 countries as part of the global caravans against the US blockade to the island, scheduled for March 27 and 28.

In its 23rd broadcast, the moderators José Antonio Toledo and Michele Mesagna specified that the number of nations could grow in the coming days.

They also urged solidarity organizations and citizens of the world to join the initiative, presented by the channel at the end of last February, in rejection of the economic, commercial and financial siege imposed on the Caribbean nation 60 years ago.

They requested that the caravans, rallies, marches and other planned actions be recorded in photos and videos for dissemination in this and other media, as well as on social networks.

Europe for Cuba reiterated, through Toledo and Mesagna, the importance of repudiating with a universal voice the US blockade, which they described as genocidal. The moderators recalled that the channel is a platform for the defense of the island against attacks and to disseminate its reality, ignored or manipulated by the mainstream media.

Cuba is the protagonist and we are all soldiers with no other ambition than to defend it and tell the truth about it, they stressed.

The world caravan days foresee activities on March 27 in Asia, Oceania, Africa, South America and Europe, while the 28 will correspond to North and Central America.

On tonight’s program, several messages of support and gratitude for the initiative were transmitted, including the one sent from the island by Gerardo Hernández, one of the five Cuban anti-terrorists who served prison in the United States for defending the country from him. Activists from Argentina, Italy, Germany, Belgium, Serbia and France also intervened to provide details of the actions organized in response to the call against the blockade of Cuba.
