Banjul Dec 3th, The Gambia congratulates and warmly greets the Members of the Cuban Medical Brigade (BMC) who work in this West African Nation, on the occasion of this December 3, Medicine Day in the largest of the Antilles and in Latin America, expresses an official note today from the Foreign Ministry.
The text, sent to the Cuban Embassy in Banjul, underlines that the Gambian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through its Minister, Dr. Mamadou Tangara, extends its gratitude to the BMC for its hard work and commitment to serving the healthcare.
Likewise, it urges the health professionals of the Caribbean Nation to continue fulfilling the noble task of combating the deadly virus of Covid-19, given that the fight against the pandemic that plagues humanity has not ended, he adds.
The official note from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also reaffirms that the lasting, fraternal and friendly diplomatic relations between the Republic of the Gambia and the Republic of Cuba are one of cooperation, humanism and solidarity.
