In a recent tweet, I wrote that “Sovereign 01” is the Cuban vaccine against Covid-19 and also against the tightening blockade imposed by the United States on the largest of the Antilles for almost 60 years, violating all international laws.
But in this text I add more, that indigenous drug project to defeat the pandemic that plagues humanity today, the first in Our America, is another blow to the economic, commercial and financial war that Washington maintains against the Caribbean nation, ignoring the world’s calls to put an end to such hostile behavior.
Just 90 miles from US territory, and in the midst of the pandemic and the intensified blockade of the Donald Trump regime, scientists from the Antillean island are advancing, slowly but surely, in «Sovereign 01».
The prophylactic vaccine tests, released a few hours ago in Havana, will cover almost 700 people, between 19 and 80 years old, starting this August 24, and will be carried out by the prestigious Cuban Finlay Institute.
Its creators announced that the results of the drug will be available in early 2021, very hopeful news not only for Cuba, but for many countries and peoples of the world who consider the oldest archipelago of the Caribbean a medical power.
The news about «Sovereign 01» has already traveled all the continents, despite the fact that the great media emporiums at the service of the United States try to silence it.
Even YouTube disappeared the channels in that social network of the television station Cubavision International and the famous program “Mesa Redonda”, when they were about to offer details of the vaccine.
Of course, Washington cannot hide its annoyance with the Cuban drug, as it is with the solidarity aid in the health sphere that the largest of the Antilles currently offers to many nations in the fight against the pandemic.
The Trump regime has publicly unleashed its fury against the Cuban Medical Brigades (BMC) that fight Covid-19 in the darkest and lightest corners of this planet, and has even threatened governments that have requested the presence of healthcare professionals of the Island.
The outbursts of the White House tenant and his henchmen were to be expected because once again Cuba showed them that, despite the blockade, it is and will continue to be a medical, scientific and solidarity power.
He also let his neighbors in the brutal and revolted north know that the historic leader of the Revolution, Fidel Castro, taught his compatriots how to ambush the enemy, and defeat it no matter how powerful and pathetic it may be.
«Sovereign 01» is already a double victory against Covid-19 and against the US blockade.
And if any naive or malicious person doubts its effectiveness, they should know that it was officially registered on August 13th, Fidel’s birthday, so it is blessed by the one who will continue to be the invincible Commander in Chief and the most feared adversary for Washington.
